Doctorate

The doctoral centre offers the opportunity to undertake a doctorate in Applied Computer Science, leading to the doctoral degree Dr rer. nat. In cooperation with its partner universities, it supports the academic development of doctoral researchers.

As an inter-institutional doctoral centre based at Universities of Applied Sciences, we place strong emphasis on effective quality assurance and close academic supervision. In line with the recommendations of the German Council of Science and Humanities, a formal supervision agreement between the doctoral candidates and the supervisor is mandatory. Moreover, supervision, review, and examination responsibilities are kept strictly separate throughout the doctoral process.
