Dominik Käufer, M. Sc.

Doctoral candidate (1st year)
University of Applied Sciences Fulda

Dominik Käufer decided to pursue a doctorate to contribute to evidence‑based innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence and health research. „I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to address real-world challenges through scientifically rigorous and applied research“, he describes his motives.

In his doctoral project, Dominik Käufer investigates how AI‑supported analysis of multimodal health data can reveal correlations between physiological parameters and disease patterns in occupational settings. The aim is to develop data‑driven, personalized prevention strategies that improve long‑term health and quality of life.

During his doctorate, he aims to deepen his expertise in applied machine learning, health data analytics, and interdisciplinary research design. He also intends to strengthen his scientific communication and project leadership skills within collaborative research environments.

Dominik Käufer expects the PZAI to provide a strong interdisciplinary research environment, constructive academic exchange, and structured support throughout the doctoral process. „In particular, I value the opportunity to engage with researchers in applied machine intelligence and benefit from methodological and strategic guidance“, he explains.
