Paulami Banerjee started her doctorate in November 2023 and focuses on optimizing the production of nonwoven materials used in medical masks, automotive filters, and hygiene products.

She is particularly attracted to her current research on applying informed machine learning approaches to nonwoven production processes. „I am drawn to how such applications make production processes more efficient and sustainable by combining data-driven methods with process expertise“, Paulami Banerjee explains.

She receives strong guidance and encouragement from both of her supervisors, and the doctoral centre provides valuable structure and resources that help her stay focused and connected.
